Three Visions
Alto Trombone and Big Band 15'
Premiered Musiikkitalo Paavo Hall, Helsinki
“Three Visions” is perhaps the world’s first jazz concert for the alto trombone and Big Band. The first part of the three-part piece explores the lyrical character of the alto trombone in a jazz context, but the two latter parts resemble more of the style of early 20th-century classical music due to the world political context that occurred during the composition process of the piece. The composition work has been supported by the Music Promotion Foundation.
