Biography

Sampo Kasurinen is a Finnish composer, born in 1990. Originally he started as a jazz musician, but gravitated towards composition during his studies in Jazz Institute Berlin. After graduating from Berlin, he returned to Helsinki to complete another master's degree in classical composition. There he had lessons with Veli-Matti Puumala, Matthew Whittall and Kaija Saariaho.
